The issue has now been fully resolved and we apologise for any duplicate notifications received. The issue affected a small number of email notifications from the 30th and 31st August up until 19:30.
From our investigation, this was due to a database upgrade that did not complete as expected. No other issues were encountered as a result of this maintenance and all systems remained accessible throughout.
On Sunday 30th August we experienced a delay in sending email notifications. Due to this issue some notification emails were not sent and, in some cases, some were sent more than once. Push notifications sent to mobile devices were unaffected.
We are continuing to investigate the root cause and will update you as soon as we have more information.
